Retro 12kt Gold-Filled Multi Stone Scarab Bracelet
A beautiful and colorful scarab beetle bracelet from the Retro era (ca1940)! This stylish bracelet is comprised of a variety of carved scarab beetle links that are bezel set in a 12kt gold-filled setting. Each beetle has an oval-shaped body and a carved surface depicting its face and wings. The attractive pattern alternates between larger scarabs separated by double strands of smaller beetles, connected by loops in between. The bezel frame is open on both sides, allowing you to see the hieroglyphic-like symbols carved on the underside of each beetle. Included in the ensemble of stones are carnelian, chrysoprase, tiger's eye, chalcedony, and bloodstone. The multi-hues of the stones look wonderful next to each other and are perfectly complimented by the gold-filled setting. The bracelet wraps around the wrist and fastens with a simple spring ring clasp at the end. A wonderful work of art, this Egyptian Revival inspired bracelet looks marvelous when worn and would make a fun addition to any collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures 8" long and would fit nicely on an average to large sized wrist. The scarabs vary in size, with the larger links measuring approximately 1" long, 3/4" wide, and 3/8" thick. The small scarab links measure 1/2" long, 3/8" wide, and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold-filled setting or to the carved scarab links, all of which are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
