Retro 14kt "SAM AND LEW" Moveable Outhouse Charm
A very detailed moveable charm from the Retro (ca1940s) era! This tiny charm is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a moveable, three-dimensional design. The piece represents a miniature outhouse, which has a smooth gold surface with two small crescent moon cutouts at each side. The outhouse door is hinged and opens to reveal a two small figures seated on the bench inside. Both have expressions of surprise on their faces and are enameled with colorful detail. The words "SAM AND LEW" are engraved on the inside of the door, and have block letters that resemble handwriting. Stamped on the bottom of the charm is "14K." A gold ring attached to the top of the roof makes it easy to hang the charm from a chain or add it to a special charm bracelet or necklace. A very collectible vintage piece, it would make an unusual addition to any charm collection!
Measurements: The charm hangs 5/8" long (including the ring for hanging). The outhouse itself stands 3/8" tall and wide, and measures 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the enamel is still in good condition. The moveable hinged door and bail are both in good working order.
