Retro French Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Ring

A fabulous diamond and sapphire ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! Made of platinum, this fashionable ring features a single cabochon sapphire in the center, surrounded by a sparkling diamond encrusted border. The sapphire has a wonderful deep blue color and stands out dramatically against the diamond background. The diamond encrusted face of the ring graduates in width and overlaps atop the band, creating a buckle-like design. The asymmetrical look is both interesting and eye-catching! There are 18 single cut diamonds in total, which are bead set and have an approximate weight of 0.30ctw. The outside of the band is stamped with two small French hallmarks, including a maker's mark and the outline of a dog's head. This incredibly beautiful piece looks stunning when worn and would make a fantastic addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.5, however it could be re-sized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and the sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact.
