Vintage Mexican Large Sterling Double Hoop Cutout Earrings
A fabulous pair of Vintage Mexican sterling hoop earrings from the 1950's! These incredible Mexican earrings are particularly large in size and have a very striking design. Each earring is comprised of two front-facing hoops that hang from a silver earring wire and ball topper. The smaller hoop has a half-moon shape that dangles freely from within the larger open circle. On the surface of each hoop is a fabulous swirled cutout design which creates a wonderful three-dimensional look. Stamped on the back of each earring is "MEXICO", "STERLING" AND "C MOLINA". A wonderful example of Mexican sterling jewelry, these earrings make a true statement when worn and would be a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 3/4" long, are 2" wide across the large outer hoop, and approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and the earring wires are secure and in good condition. There is a natural patina on the silver, which adds depth to its appearance, but could be easily polished if a brighter look is desired.
