Retro Silver & Citrine Hand Wrought Earrings
A fabulous pair of hand wrought earrings from the Retro (ca1940) era! Made of 800 silver, the earrings have a 3-dimensional triangular shape and decorative design. Dotting the surface of the earrings is a pattern of raised beadwork surrounded by a delicate rope design. The base of each earring holds a bezel set citrine stone, which is faceted and displays lovely golden yellow color. Both earrings hang from lever back wires attached to a simple silver ball surmount. There is a darkened patina on the surface of the links that contrasts with the raised design, giving them a striking look. A very eye-catching pair of earrings, they swing nicely when worn and would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 1/2" long when worn, including the wires. The triangular links measure 1" tall, 5/8" wide at the base, and 1/2" thick.
Conditions: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting, raised beadwork, or citrine stones, both of which are intact. The lever back earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
