Victorian 18kt Diamond, Sapphire & Ruby Snake Cufflinks
An unusual pair of 18kt gold snake cufflinks from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these double-sided cufflinks has an artistic snake motif in raised 3-dimensional detail. A single serpent appears to weave through the surface of the oval link, with engraved detail representing its scales, and a sparkling diamond set in its head. A second snake is wrapped around the outside of the bar link, one with a ruby in its head, the other with a sapphire. Connecting each side together is a gold infinity link, which is stamped "18K" in the center. A fantastic pair of cufflinks, they would look fantastic worn by a woman or a man!
Measurements: Each oval link measures 3/4" long, 1/2" wide, and about 1/4" thick. The gold bars links measure 3/4" long, 1/4" wide, and 3/16" thick. The connecting infinity links measure 1" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the gemstones, all of which is intact.
