A beautiful and meaningful locket from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Of Austrian origin, this lovely  piece is made of 800-900 grade silver and has an enameled design with a special message. At the top is a red Guilloché enamel star surrounded by engraved rays of light. Encircling the border are the black enamel words "ER SEI DEIN GLÜCKSSTERN," which translates to "He Be Your Lucky Star." The front of the locket slides open to reveals an open compartment below, perfect for storing a special photograph or small object inside! Engraved on the back of the piece is the name "VON LISL". The piece hangs from a silver bail at the top, and would look perfect worn on a favorite chain. A charming and sentimental Victorian era locket, it would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 1 1/8" long, has a 3/4" diameter, and measures 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or enamel design, which is free of any noticeable chips or scratches. The locket easily slides open and closed, and the bail for hanging is secure.
