TIFFANY & CO. Edwardian Mixed Metals Tourmaline Conversion Ring
An exquisite Tiffany & Co. conversion ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece was originally a Tiffany & Co. stick pin that has been expertly re-crafted to form a lovely ring. A luscious green tourmaline gemstone rests at the center of a wonderful mixed metals setting. The original 14kt gold stick pin has been repurposed into the band, and still retains the authentic Tiffany & Co. hallmark visible along the side of the shank. What used to be the head of the stick pin now forms the ring's beautiful tourmaline centerpiece. Surrounding the green tourmaline is a platinum-topped setting, which is complete with elegant engraving and fine milgrain detail. The tourmaline is beautifully faceted and displays a gorgeous natural green color that is the perfect compliment to the mixed metals setting! Stamped on the side of the band is "TIFFANY & CO." "14k" and "PLAT." A wonderful example of antique conversion jewelry, this stunning ring by a legendary maker would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but it could easily be re-sized up or down as desired. The green tourmaline centerpiece measures about 1/2" tall and 3/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the mixed metals platinum-topped gold setting, and the green tourmaline is intact and secure.
