TOSHIKANE Vintage Silver Rock Crystal Link Bracelet
Toshikane was a Japanese company from Arita, Japan that fabricated porcelain buttons, jewelry, and other ceramic pieces, dating back to as early as the 1940's. Each Toshikane design has a distinctly Japanese look and feel, incorporating elements such as Asian fans, the 7 Lucky Gods, and exotic bird and flower designs into the work. Usually set in silver, the porcelain pieces are intricately hand painted in a variety of vibrant colors. Because they are no longer fabricated, Toshikane pieces are now a rare find and are highly collectible.
A fantastic vintage Toshikane bracelet from the 1950s era! This wonderful piece, which is crafted with silver, is comprised of 9 large rock crystal links which come together to form a straight but flexible design. Each Emerald Cut rock crystal rests in a prong set open back frame, allowing their facets to beautifully catch the light with every turn. A double set of findings connect the links together, allowing the bracelet to wrap comfortably around the wrist. The frames, findings, and large push clasp are smoothly polished, and stamped on the underside of the clasp is “SILVER TOSHIKANE JAPAN,” and there is a safety chain with a spring clasp for added security. It's a fantastic rock crystal piece that would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7" long. Each rock crystal link measures slightly more than 1/2" wide, 3/4” tall, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rock crystals or to the silver setting. The spring ring and safety chain are both secure and in good working condition.
