Victorian 10kt French Paste Festoon Necklace
A gorgeous French paste necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This elegant necklace is crafted in 10kt rose gold and features 17 French paste stones that dangle in a festoon fashion. The French paste links are graduated, with the largest stones hanging at the center and the smallest at the ends. Each stone is a faceted old Mine Cut, and is encased within a closed back 8-prong setting. At the back of the chain is a barrel push clasp, which fastens the two ends together. When worn, the necklace drapes beautifully just above the neckline, making a stunning statement!
Measurements: The necklace measures 13.5" long. The largest French paste links hang 3/8" long, and the smallest links at the ends hang 1/4" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the French paste stones, all of which are intact and securely set. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
