A perfectly lovely diamond engagement ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in soft 10kt yellow gold, and features an old Mine Cut diamond that rests within a belcher prong setting. The diamond weighs approximately 0.40ctw, and has estimated I color and VS2 clarity. The belcher style prongs create a bold grooved design which merges with the shoulders of the gold band, tapering as it nears the back and perfectly competing the look. Stamped inside the shank is a "10K" gold purity mark. A stunning Victorian ring, it would make a very special engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.75, but could easily be re-sized as desired. The diamond rests approximately 3/16" above the finger when worn. The face of the ring measures 7.5mm wide, and the tapered band measures 3mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the diamond stone is intact and securely set.
