Victorian 10kt Rose Cut Diamond Starburst Button Bracelet
A beautiful gold and diamond bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The piece, which is known as a button bracelet, is comprised of 15 graduated links made of 10kt yellow gold. The five central links have a hand etched starburst design with a delicate old Rose Cut diamond set in the center. All of the links have a puffy, button-like appearance and are connected by a pin hinge detailed with gold balls. The piece fastens with a push clasp disguised within the final link, and a safety chain provides additional security when worn. A wonderful everyday piece, it would look lovely stacked with other complimentary bracelets!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" long. The smallest button links at the ends measure 3/8" in diameter, and the largest central links have a 1/2" diameter.
Condition: The bracelet is in very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the rose cut diamonds, all of which are intact. The push clasp and safety chain are both secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is normal for an antique piece and adds to its unique character and appearance.
