A petite but vibrant stick pin conversion pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in bloomed 10k yellow gold, this fierce piece represents the 3-dimensional repousse face of a snarling lion. Clenched within the lion's open mouth is a sparkling .10ctw old Mine Cut diamond, which is prong set between pointed gold fangs. Two additional petite accent rubies represent each of the lion's twinkling eyes. The back is smoothly polished and a hidden bail rests at the top, above a "10k" gold purity mark next to a maker's mark. This unique pendant would look gorgeous hanging from a favorite chain, and would make quite an impressive addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 5/8" long, measures about 5/8" wide, and is a little more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or 3-dimensional repousse detail. The stones are secure in their settings. The bail is secure.
