An incredible pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1890s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these beautiful earrings start with a scalloped wirework design that forms the base of the earring. Mounted on each in a 6 prong setting are oval opals that have a gentle rainbow of red, yellow, green, and blue flashes as they catch the light. The earrings are open-backed allowing light to flash through. A gorgeous pair of earrings, they would be perfect for any opal lover's jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1" in length, 5/8" at their widest points, and about 3/8" deep at the surmount excluding the earring harp.
Condition: The earrings are in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. Both of the opals are intact and securely set. The earring harps are secure and in good working condition.
