Victorian 14kt Banded Agate Plaque Ring
A stylish banded agate ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! A rectangular bar of solid banded agate stone is bezel set at the center of a 14kt rosy gold mounting. The banded agate plaque has an opaque black surface, while a creamy white stripe is visible along the edge where the stone meets the setting. The surface of the stone is polished for smooth, glossy effect. A hand-etched motif decorates each shoulder of the rose gold band, completing the design. A very eye-catching accessory, it would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The rectangular banded agate plaque measures 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 6mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the banded agate stone, which is free of chips or scratches, and secure within its setting.
