Victorian 14kt Diamond Sapphire & Ruby Trefoil Bar Pin
A beautiful trefoil bar pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 14kt gold, the piece features a delicate gemstone trefoil that rests at the center of a solid gold bar. Each petal of the trefoil cluster is represented by a different gemstone, including a deep blue sapphire, a luscious ruby, and a sparkling mine cut diamond. A delicate gold stem peaks out from the bottom of the trefoil, and two rose cut diamond accents rest within the stem and trefoil's center. At either end of the gold bar is are two additional mine cut diamonds, completing the wonderful design. The ruby and sapphire stones weigh approximately .25ct each, and the diamonds collectively have an approximate weight of .70ctw combined. On the back of the piece is a bar pin and c-catch clasp, and a safety chain and clasp provides extra security when worn. A gorgeous gemstone piece, it has a wonderful Victorian look and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 7/8" long from end to end. The gemstone trefoil center measures about 3/8" tall and wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bar pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the gemstones, all of which are intact. The pin clasp and safety chain and clasp fasten securely and are in good working condition.
