Victorian 14kt Large Painted Ivory Portrait Pendant

A wonderful and decorative portrait pendant from the Late Victorian era (ca1900) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 14kt gold and has a very sweet and artistic design. In the center of the piece is a detailed portrait of a young child, which is painted on ivory and covered in glass. The hand-painted is remarkably fine, including realistic facial features and smooth hair, surrounded by a cloudy pastel background. Surrounding the portrait is a textured gold border, engraved with a detailed pattern of swirls and flourishes. On the back of the piece is an engraved set of monogrammed initials in flowing calligraphy. A simple gold bail is attached to the top, perfect for hanging the pendant from a complimentary chain. A wonderful antique piece, it would make a unique addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The piece measures hangs 2 1/8" long, including the bail at the top. The circular pendant has a 1 7/8" diameter, and measures 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the bail is securely attached. The glass frame and painted portrait are both intact.
