Victorian 14kt Moonstone & Diamond Crescent Necklace
A simply breathtaking crescent moon necklace from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Originally a Victorian pin, this gorgeous conversion piece is a compilation of old and new, comprised of a 14kt moonstone crescent that now hangs from modern gold chain. Lining the face of the crescent are 11 moonstone cabochons, each polished into a smooth orb held in a raised prong setting. The graduated moonstones vary in size, the larger stones resting in the center and the smallest at the tips. Their iridescent quality and pale blue flashes give radiance to this already stunning piece! A filigree pattern with delicate beadwork forms the base of the pendant, which is open backed. Attached to the top of the pendant is a fine gold cable chain with a single diamond adorning the side, held in an open bezel setting. The chain fastens in the back with a lobster clasp stamped "14K". This celestial piece is positively exquisite and would make a wonderful everyday accessory!

Condition: The necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the moonstones, all of which are intact and securely set. The chain, diamond accent, and lobster clasp are secure and in good working condition.
