Victorian 14kt Natural Coral Bead + Figural Claw Ring
A beautiful and truly unique coral claw ring from the late Victorian (ca1900s) era! This stunning piece, which was originally worn as an antique stick pin, has since been converted into a bold ring for modern day wear. Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the ring features a vibrant coral bead grasped within a 3-dimensional figural claw. The claw rests high above the finger in a dramatic fashion and fine engraving details the gold claw, providing a scaly texture and piercing sharp nails. The natural coral bead has rich, deep oxblood color, perfectly complimenting the yellow gold setting and the unique design is completed with a simple gold band. A fantastic example of Victorian conversion jewelry, this wonderful ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 8, but could be re-sized if desired. The claw measures approximately 1/2" wide and deep, and when worn, rests 1/2" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the coral bead is intact.
