Victorian 14kt Pearl & Diamond Crescent Sliver Necklace
A simply beautiful crescent necklace from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Made of 14kt yellow gold, this gorgeous necklace is comprised of a delicate crescent moon sliver that hangs from a bright gold chain. The crescent is lined with lovely natural pearls and a row of sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds, all pavé set. A very soft and feminine design, the combination of pearls and diamonds compliment each other perfectly, displaying a beautiful shimmery luster and twinkling sparkle! The back of the crescent has a smooth rose gold surface, and a fine filigree wirework pattern is visible from the side of the setting. Attached to the top and side of the sliver is a modern cable chain made of bright 14kt yellow gold, which fastens with a lobster clasp in the back. Crescent moons were a common motif in Victorian era jewelry, and this celestial piece is a gorgeous example that would compliment any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 18.75" long. The sliver crescent pendant measures 1 1/2" tall, 1/4" wide, and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the pearls and diamonds are intact. The gold chain is in good condition, and the clasp fastens securely.
