Victorian 14kt Rose Gold Diamond & Sapphire Double Snake Ring
The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.
A gorgeous double snake ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The stylish serpentine design is crafted in 14kt gold, and features a luscious gemstone duo. Two snakes are intertwined, their heads weaving together at the center, and their tails forming a stacked band in the back. Resting in the head of one snake is a sparkling .65ct mine cut diamond, while the other snake features a beautiful deep blue sapphire. Lightly engraved details represent their eyes, and the tips of their tails overlap at the front, adding further depth to the design. This fabulous Victorian ring is perfect for any snake lover and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75, but could be re-sized if desired. The width of the ring measures 3/8" at the front (where the two snakes' heads meet), and is 5mm wide at the back of the band.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides light normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, or to either of the gemstones, both of which are intact and securely set.
