Victorian 14kt Rose Gold & Diamond Star & Crescent Locket
A lovely and unusual locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Round in shape and made of 14kt rose gold, the locket has a simple yet gorgeous celestial design. The face of the locket is decorated with an etched crescent moon and 7-point starburst, both set with sparkling diamonds. A single diamond rests in the center of the star, while three additional diamonds line the side of the crescent. The opposing side of the locket has a smooth gold face. Two arched gold bars come together to form a scrolled top, which is attached to a simple "O" ring, making it easy to hang the piece from a chain. The locket opens from the top and reveals a glass covered spot for storing a special photograph. A wonderful and versatile Victorian piece, it blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurement: The locket hangs 1 1/8" long, has a 3/4" diameter, and measures approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and four diamonds are intact.
