Victorian 15kt Etruscan Blue Enamel Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous Etruscan bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wide bangle is made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and has a fantastic 3-dimensional design that adorns the front surface. The face of the bracelet is comprised of raised Etruscan wirework and beadwork details that form a dramatic, textured pattern. Accenting the design is enamel detail throughout, which has a deep, royal blue color and creates quite a striking effect! The bracelet is hinged and fastens seamlessly with a simple push clasp at the side. A strong Victorian piece, this bracelet makes a fabulous statement and would compliment any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1 3/8" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall, and would fit comfortably on an average sized wrist. The overall pennyweight of the piece is 49.6 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the raised Etruscan details. The enamel is still in excellent condition, especially considering the age of the piece. The push clasp is snug and secure, and the hinge is in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of some areas of the gold, which is normal and adds depth to the design.
