Victorian 18kt Black Enamel & Rose Cut Diamond Locket
An incredible enamel and diamond locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful oval-shaped piece is made of 18kt yellow gold and has a delicate, feminine design. Both the face and back of the locket have a rich black enamel surface with a smooth, glossy finish. Adorning the center of the piece is a set of raised gold monogrammed letters, which appear in swirled cursive script and overlap beautifully. Lining each of the letters are delicate rose cut diamonds, adding a lovely sparkle! The piece hangs from a matching enamel and rose cut diamond bail, perfect for pairing with a favorite gold chain. When opened, the interior reveals two spaces for keeping special photographs behind glass. A fantastic Victorian piece, it would make a wonderful keepsake and a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2 1/8" long (including the bail), is 1 1/8" wide, and approximately 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, black enamel, or rose cut diamonds, which are all intact.
