Victorian 18kt Diamond Star Hinged Etruscan Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous gold bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold, this hinged bangle has a fine coiled wirework design that borders the top and bottom edges, carrying around both sides of the piece. Soft Etruscan wirework with a floral motif can be found at both the hinge and the clasp, visible when viewed from the front or back side. The design displays fine twisted wirework stem and leaf accents and four small old Mine Cut diamonds act as the centers of the flowers. Completing the gorgeous design are three raised stars which are set horizontally across the front surface, each adorning a single old Mine Cut diamond set in the center. Collectively, the overall approximate diamond weight of the bracelet is 0.60ctw. The bangle clasps on the side and has a safety chain for added security. Plaques found at both sides of clasp are stamped "PAT MAY 11 1880" and "PAT OCT 14 1879." This gorgeous piece would fit nicely on a small sized wrist and looks simply stunning when worn. A beautiful Victorian piece, it would look wonderful worn alone or paired with other complimentary bracelets!
Measurement: The surface of the bracelet measures 1/2" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 1 5/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold bracelet, raised wirework details and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp and safety chain are snug and secure, and the hinge is in good working condition.
