Victorian 18kt Sterling Opal & Rose Cut Diamond Ring

SKU: 38827

$2,395
An enchanting opal ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous ring is crafted in 18kt gold topped in sterling. An alluring white opal rests at the center, surrounded by a sparkling rose cut diamond border. The opal is simply mesmerizing, displaying a range of iridescent colors that flash and shimmer in the light, almost appearing to glow from within. Each rose cut diamond is individually belcher set within a pinched sterling bezel. Completing the design is a stacked gold wire band, with decorative accents where the shank meets the centerpiece. Stamped on the outside of the band are three small hallmarks. A gorgeous and feminine piece, it looks simply stunning when worn, and would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75, but could be resized up or down. The opal and diamond centerpiece measures 5/8" tall and wide, and rests approximately 1/4" high when worn. The band is 2mm wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting. The opal and all of the rose cut diamonds are intact and securely set. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is normal for antique jewelry and adds to its unique character and appearance.
