Victorian Contintenal Silver 9kt Rose Gold Star & Stripe Earrings
A fantastic pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of continental silver, the earrings have a 3-dimensional ball shape with a stylish stars and stripe motif in 9kt rose gold. A textured Guilloché pattern covers the surface of the silver, adding depth to the design. The applied rose gold overlay shapes contrast beautifully with the darkened silver background. The back of each link is stamped "800" and reveals an open back and hollowed center, making them lightweight to wear. The earrings hang from their original silver wires and rest just below the ear when worn. Delicate and unique, they display wonderful artistry and would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1" long (including the wires) and each ball-shaped link has a 1/2" diameter.
Conditions: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the continental silver setting or rose gold accents. The earring wires are secure and intact. The surface of the silver has a darkened patina that gives it an antiqued look. This is normal and adds depth to the design.
