Victorian English Sterling Medallion & Prince Albert Chain
A stylish medallion necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unique piece is comprised of a mixed metals pendant that hangs from sterling Prince Albert watch chain. The medallion has a 3-dimensional design shaped like a shield, with rose gold accents and engraved detail decorating the front surface. A toggle bar dangles beside the pendant, hanging from a short strand of chain. The Prince Albert necklace chain is comprised of elongated open links, which meet at two watch swivel clasps in the back. Both the medallion and the toggle bar link are stamped with multiple English hallmarks, including the maker's initials "W.H.", and several small symbols including an anchor, a lion, and the letter "c". The watch swivel clasps are also hallmarked with the initials "H.B. & S." A wonderful Victorian piece, it would make a stylish addition to any collection!
