Victorian English Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet
A beautiful sterling silver bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) period! English in origin, the bracelet has a very wearable and stylish design. Decorating the front surface is a delicate raised beadwork pattern. The center and the reverse side of the bangle are left simple and smooth. The bracelet is hinged and opens with a simple push clasp at the side. Stamped on the bracelet's interior are several English hallmarks, including a lion and the letter "b" on one side. The opposite side is stamped with the letter "b," an anchor, a lion, and the initials "R.J." A wonderful Victorian era piece, it is ideal for everyday wear and would look stylish stacked with a group of similar bracelets!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 2" tall. The surface is 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or raised beadwork details. The clasp and hinge are secure and in good working condition.
