Victorian English Sterling Silver Etched Buckle Bracelet
A beautiful English sterling silver bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The front surface features a raised buckle design, including a 3-dimensional strap and belt notches. Also decorating the surface is a pattern of flowing hand-etched details, which create a textured floral motif. The bracelet is hinged at the side and fastens with a secure push clasp, where a safety chain provides extra security when worn. Stamped inside the bracelet are several English hallmarks, including an anchor, a lion, the letter "S," and the maker's initials "S. BROS." A stylish everyday piece, the bracelet has a classic Victorian look that blends seamlessly into modern day fashion. It would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures 3/4" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 7/8" tall.
Condition: The bracelet is in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or etched and raised details. The clasp, safety chain, and hinge are secure and in good working condition.
