A wonderful gold-filled chain from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful handmade chain is comprised of double links that interlock to form a simple, stylish necklace. Each link consists of an open ring with a split end and beveled edges, giving light texture to the appearance. A spring ring clasp at the center of the chain allows a complimentary locket or pendant to be attached if desired. Stamped on the side of the clasp is "1/20 12K G.F." A beautifully made piece, it is versatile enough for everyday wear and is perfect for the collector of fine Victorian jewelry!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 21.5" long, and the width is approximately 3/16".
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the gold links. The setting has subtle color variation due to a natural patina on the surface, which is normal for an antique piece and adds to its unique character. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
