Victorian 14kt Chain Necklace w/ Pearl Slide 23.8dwt
A wonderful gold slide necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely 14kt gold piece is comprised of a long chain with a single slide found in the center. Each side of the cube-shaped slide is decorated with a natural seed pearl resting within an etched starburst design. At one end of the chain is a gold watch swivel clasp, making it possible to hang a complimentary pendant or locket if desired, or simply double the chain when worn. The slide moves easily, adjusting the placement of the chain. A lovely Victorian piece, it would look perfect worn everyday and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 55" long in total, with the watch swivel clasp hanging 7/8" long in the center. The slide measures 3/8" long and 1/4" wide and thick. The total pennyweight of the piece is 23.8 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or slide, which has all four seed pearls intact. The slide moves easily, and the watch swivel clasp fastens securely.
