Victorian Petite 14kt Gold Etruscan Ball Pendant
A lovely petite Etruscan pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold piece comprised of an ornate ball link that hangs from a decorative surmount. Covering the surface of the gold ball is a fine Etruscan wirework and applique design, which primarily covers the front and sides, providing lovely dimension and texture to the piece. The ball hangs from a complimentary decorative hinged topper which holds a hidden bail on the back, perfect for hanging from a fine chain. This beautiful charm looks wonderful on and would make a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 7/8" long, and measures a little less than 1/2" at the widest and thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, Etruscan wirework details, or to the gold bail. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is normal for a piece from this age and adds depth to the design.
