Victorian Petite 14kt Pavé Persian Turquoise Earrings
A lovely pair of petite turquoise earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is crafted in 14kt yellow gold, and displays a simple yet elegant design. Attached at the base of a gold leverback wire is a round, domed disc adorned with Persian turquoise stones across the front surface. The cabochons are pavé set, exhibiting incredible sky blue hues that pair perfectly against the gold setting. A delicate twisted rope border encircles the stones, adding wonderful texture to the beautiful design. Attached at the top are simple wires with hinged, lever back clasps, which are stamped with a "14K" gold purity mark. The earrings frame the face beautifully and hang with lovely movement. They are perfect for the turquoise lover, and would make a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 5/8" long, including the wire at the top, and measure about 3/8" wide and are a little less than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. All of the turquoise stones are intact and securely set. The earring wires and clasps are secure and in good condition. Due to the handmade nature of the earrings, there is a slight difference in the depth between the two earrings which, under close examination, makes one look very slightly larger than the other; this very minor difference is not at all noticeable when the earrings are worn.
