Victorian Revival 14kt Turquoise Crescent Pendant Necklace
A stunning and unusual Victorian Revival crescent moon necklace from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold, the necklace features a large crescent moon pendant that hangs from a fine modern chain. The crescent has a slightly convex surface and is adorned with 13 vibrant turquoise cabochons which line the length of the moon. The stones are set within starburst shapes that are hand carved into the surface, adding to the enchanting celestial design. Completing the fabulous look is a fine textured design which covers the entire front surface of the moon. Attached at either side of the crescent is the gold chain, which fastens with a spring ring clasp that is stamped "14K;" additionally, the back of the pendant is marked "14." This celestial piece is positively breathtaking in person, and would look wonderful worn day or night!
Measurements: The necklace measures 19" in total length. The gold crescent measures 1 1/2" tall, slightly less than 1 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the turquoise stones are intact. The chain and spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition.
