Victorian 18kt Dramatic 2.50ctw Rose Cut Diamond Earrings
These beautiful hanging diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era are a work of art! Each earring is made of 18kt yellow gold and is encrusted with 2.50ctw of sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds. A front-faceing hoop forms the center of each earring, with a dazzling flower-shaped cluster dangling freely in the center. A fleur-de-lys adorns the top, and leaf-like sunburst rays decorate the bottom edge of each hoop. Dangling from the bottom of each earring is a single hanging diamond, adding lovely movement and sparkle when worn. The earrings hang from simple wires attached to a diamond cluster surmount. They come in their original box, which is lined with luxurious deep purple velvet inside. Very ornate and feminine, these Victorian earrings make a gorgeous statement and are perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, measures 7/8" at the widest point, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, earring wires, or Rose Cut diamonds, all of which are intact. The box shows normal signs of wear for a Victorian-era piece, and the hook closure is no longer fully intact.
