Victorian Silver Star & Stripes Motif Bangle Bracelet
A very striking silver bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous bangle clasps at the side and features a wonderful star and striped motif that decorates the front surface. The pattern alternates between diagonal stripes with 6-point raised stars in between. At the center is an elevated design with a curved shape, decorated with fine etched detail, a single star at the center, and two raised beads at either side. The back of the bracelet is simple and smooth. Stamped on the tongue of the push clasp is "800," and a safety chain provides extra security. A very stylish handmade piece, the bangle has a strong Victorian look and could be stacked with other complimentary bracelets or worn alone. It merges perfectly into modern day fashion and would compliment any collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 7/8" wide at the front and 5/8" wide at the back. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting, and the clasp and hinge are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is normal for a Victorian era piece and adds depth to the design. However, it could be polished for a brighter look if desired.
