Victorian Sterling & 12kt Turquoise Hidden Compartment Bracelet
A gorgeous turquoise bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is made of sterling silver and 12kt rosy yellow gold, and is detailed with three rows of pavé set (French for "pavement") turquoise stones. The turquoise stones have a wonderful variety of natural colors in vibrant blue and green hues, all of which look spectacular against the yellow gold setting. The inside of the bracelet has a smooth yellow gold rim, with a small "door" that opens to reveal a shallow hidden compartment inside. At the side of the bangle is a hinge and push clasp, where a safety chain has been added for extra security. This beautiful and unusual bracelet would look wonderful worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bangles. It would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall. The surface of the bracelet measures 5/16" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver and gold setting or to any of the turquoise stones, all of which are intact. The bracelet opens easily and fastens securely, and the clasp and safety chain are both secure and in good working condition.
