Victorian Sterling Pavé Turquoise Heart Locket Pendant
A beautiful turquoise locket pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this wonderful piece forms the shape of a medium sized heart and adorns a vibrant front surface of pavé (French for "pavement") turquoise stones. The stones, which vary in size and color, display a range of lovely dark green and pale blue shades and the pendant hangs from a complimentary turquoise lined bail at the top, perfect for hanging from a favorite chain. The reverse side reveals a smooth sterling surface along with a removable glass locket window, where a special picture or lock of hair could be stored inside. Currently, the original black and white photograph remains inside, however, it could easily be removed if desired. This wonderful locket pendant would make a stylish addition to any jewelry collection or a romantic gift for someone special!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 1/2" long, measures 3/4" wide, and a little more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and all of the pavé turquoise stones are intact. The bail and removable glass frame are secure.
