Victorian Sterling Scottish Agate & Granite Puffy Heart Pendant
A beautiful Scottish heart pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of sterling silver, this charming heart-shaped piece has a puffy, three-dimensional design. The surface of the heart is textured with hand-engraved detail, and an ensemble of three stones decorate the front. Two of the stones are teardrop-shaped Scottish agate stones, while the center stone is a diamond-shaped piece of granite. The colors of the trio of stones compliment each other perfectly, including orange, burnt sienna, deep brown, grey, and black. The back of the piece is smooth, and a simple bail at the top makes it easy to hang. It would look beautiful worn alone as a pendant, or added to a special charm bracelet or necklace. A very attractive and unusual pendant of Scottish origin, it could be a lovely gift for someone special, and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 1/8" long, measures 3/4" wide, and is 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, engraved detail, or granite and Scottish agate stones, all of which are intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
