Vintage Art Nouveau Style 14k Enamel & Diamond Repousse Lady Ring
A spectacular vintage ring with a gorgeous Art Nouveau inspired design! Crafted in 14tkt yellow gold, the ring has a very feminine maiden motif that comes alive with raised repousse detail, enameled pastel colors, and sparkling diamonds. An oval-shaped plaque forms the centerpiece of the ring. Gracing the center of the design is the face of a beautiful woman shown in profile. She wears a mint green headpiece accented with 5 delicate full cut diamonds, her long locks of hair flowing out behind her and curling in at the ends to form soft swirls. She faces a trio of stars that float ahead, each set with a full cut diamond at the center of a silver setting. A row of 12 full cut diamonds lines the right edge of the ring, and a scalloped cathedral motif frames the top. Shimmery, iridescent enamel covers the background, like a watercolor painting in soft pink and yellow hues. Completing the design is a smooth gold band that splits into a pillar at either shoulder. Two starbursts are lightly etched into each shoulder, and the shank is stamped “14K” inside. A magnificent tribute to the aesthetics of the Art Nouveau era, this gorgeous vintage ring would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but could be resized up or down. The oval centerpiece measures 1” tall, 3/4” wide, and rests 3/16” above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, raised repose detail, or enamel design, which is free of chips or scratches. All of the full cut diamonds are intact and securely set. There is some light surface wear to the underside of the piece, which is minor and not visible when worn. There is a light natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is normal for a vintage piece and adds depth to the design.
