The Seven Lucky Gods are a special part of Japanese mythology and folklore. Believed to bring good fortune, each of the seven gods represents a different offering or gift. Throughout history, they have been depicted in unique works of jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces, which are often hand-carved from a variety of natural materials, or crafted in hand-painted porcelain. Artistic representations of the Seven Lucky Gods continue to be popular today, and antique pieces are particularly sought after for their rarity and craftsmanship.

This wonderful Japanese Seven Lucky Gods bracelet is a vintage piece from the 1930s! An unusual artisan piece, the bracelet is comprised of seven individual links, each representing one of the individual Seven Lucky Gods from Japanese folklore. The ivory plaques are hand-carved with 3-dimensional details that depict facial features, decorative clothing, and accessories. Painted black and green accents give further depth to the design. Each ivory link rests in a silver framework setting and is linked with short strands of silver chain. The straight but flexible design wraps comfortably around the wrist, fastening with a push clasp at the end. A safety chain provides additional security when worn. The clasp is stamped "SILVER" on the back. A very unusual and collectible piece, it would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 8" long, and would fit nicely on a medium to large sized wrist. The ivory links vary in size and shape, averaging 1 1/2" tall, 7/8" wide, and 1/4" thick.

Condition: The bracelet is in very good vintage condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting, the push clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition There is a natural patina on the silver setting, which adds to the vintage character of the piece, but could be polished if a brighter look is desired. All seven of the ivory links are intact and are free of any apparent chips or scratches. Some of the painted details have faded due to age and normal wear, but this does not detract from the beauty of the design.
