Vintage Sterling Carnelian Filigree Pendant
A lovely vintage carnelian pendant from the 1960s! This stylish piece features a large carnelian stone that rests within a decorative filigree bezel frame made of sterling silver. The carnelian displays a rich, warm color with subtle natural inclusions and color variation throughout. A natural patina adds a darkened vintage appearance to the sterling setting, which is normal and gives further depth to the design. The decorative sterling bezel is open backed, allowing light to pass through the stone when worn. At the top is a simple sterling bail. A wonderful vintage piece, it would look perfect worn on a long chain as a versatile everyday piece!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2 1/4" long, is 1 1/8" wide, and measures 3/16" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling filigree setting or carnelian stone, which is intact. The bail is secure and in good condition.
