ANTONIO PINEDA Vintage Sterling Multi Hoop Earrings

SKU: AB329

Considered one of the finest Mexican silver craftsmen from the twentieth century, Antonio Pineda began his art at a young age. He studied painting and sculpture as a youth and at age 14 he was apprenticed to Taller de Las Delicias of William Spratling to learn the silversmith craft. Antonio founded his own workshop in 1941 and his talent flourished.

Absolutely fantastic and unusual Antonio Pineda sterling hoop earrings from the 1950's! Each earring is made of sterling silver and comprised of 5 large hoops which swing from a silver ring surmount. The hoops have a flat surface and graduate in size, with the largest resting in the center. The 4 outer rings have more movement, as the center one is threading through a small silver ring in the middle. The earrings hang from simple sterling post which attaches to the open ring topper. The back of the earrings are stamped with the authentic "ANTONIO PINEDA" hallmark along with "HECHO EN MEXICO". These stunning and unique earrings are in beautiful condition and look fabulous on. They would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: Each earring hangs slightly more than 2 1/4" long, measures 3/4" at the widest point and has a depth of 1 3/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling hoops or posts.
