Art & Crafts Sterling Silver Wirework Black Opal Ring
A lovely ring from the Arts & Crafts (ca1910) period! Crafted in sterling silver, this beautiful piece displays a striking black opal center surrounded by a wirework frame. The opal exhibits stunning shades of iridescent blues and flashes of green, all tones reminiscent of the deep ocean, which beautifully catch the light with every turn. The ornate mounting features a twisted rope wire border encircling the opal's bezel setting, wirework ovals on each shoulder, and a double wire band. A gorgeous ring, it makes a wonderful statement when worn and would be a fashionable addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75 but could be easily re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. There are abrasions and a small chip on the underside of the black opal but this is not visible when worn and does not negatively affect the integrity of the piece.
