Art Deco 14kt Amethyst, Crystal & Diamond Drop Earrings
A beautiful pair of amethyst earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These earrings have a lovely drop design and look simply wonderful when worn. Each earring begins with a decorative 14kt gold topper, which has fine milgrained detail and two sparkling diamonds set at the top and bottom. The toppers are attached to secure lever backs that snap securely into place onto the white gold posts. Dangling from the surmount is a single strand of fine white gold chain, creating the attractive drop design. Hanging from the bottom of the chain is a wonderful amethyst drop which is split in the center and separated by a faceted rock quartz crystal disc. The amethyst has beautiful purple color with several natural inclusions and looks incredible paired with the clear, light-catching crystal. These stunning earrings are in beautiful condition and would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long and measures approximately 3/8" at its widest and thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the amethyst, crystals and diamonds, all of which are intact. The lever backs are secure and in good working condition.
