A fantastic and unusual pair of onyx and diamond earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each earring begins with a 14kt white gold wire which attaches to a triangular shaped piece of onyx. Dangling from the topper is a circular piece of onyx which has a domed center and 8 carved rays beaming from the center. Set in the center of each is a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond which is set in a milgrained bezel setting. The earrings have a total approximate diamond weight of 1.50ctw, with H-I color range and VS2 range clarity. The back of each earring features a beautiful 14kt white gold setting with cutout lines and gorgeous engraving. The Deco design is absolutely wonderful and the earrings would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long. The exterior diameter of the onyx circle measures 5/8" and has a depth of slightly more than 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to the onyx, and both of the diamonds are intact.
