Art Deco 14kt & Faceted Citrine Teardrop Earrings
The citrine is a member of the large quartz family, a family which has a multitude of colors and various structures. The most desirable stones have a clear, radiant yellow to a warm, brownish-red tone.A stunning pair of hanging citrine earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each earring is set in 14kt yellow gold and is comprised of two gorgeous citrines, one dangling below the other. Originally a pair of screw back earrings, they have since been converted to gold wires for comfortable wear. Dangling freely from the bottom of the design is a large teardrop citrine, which is faceted on the front and back, catching the light beautifully when worn. It is held in place by a decorative gold attachment with a geometric Deco-style design. Above is round citrine bead covered in delicate facets. All of the stones have a gorgeous golden yellow color, which looks rich and marvelous against the gold setting. These wonderful and feminine earrings have a simple design suitable for the daytime, yet are elegant enough for evening wear and special occasions. They would make an incredible addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long. The large teardrop citrines measure 1" long, 1/2" wide at the base, and slightly more than 1/4" at their thickest point. The smaller citrine beads measure approximately 5.5mm each.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or citrine stones, all of which are intact and free of chips. The gold wires are secure and in good condition.
