Art Deco 14kt/Platinum Carved Jade, Sapphire + Diamond Earrings
A beautiful pair of gemstone and jade earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Most likely of Chinese origin, each 14kt yellow gold earring features a hand-carved jade plaque hanging from a lovely gemstone encrusted surmount. The teardrop shaped jade plaque features a gorgeous leafy cutout design and displays varying shades of vibrant green and milky white hues. Two platinum diamond leaf motifs cap the plaque, which hangs from a platinum diamond shaped link featuring fine milgrain details. Old Rose Cut diamonds adorn each leaf and embellishes the link, sparkling beautifully in the light. Finishing the design is a flower shaped topper, each petal set with a vibrant teardrop shaped blue sapphire cabochon. A sparkling accent diamond rests in a platinum milgrained bezel setting, adding even more eye-catching appeal to the mixed metals design. A simple gold wire rests at the top, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully. These stunning earrings would look gorgeous worn day or night, and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long and measures about 3/8" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting. The carved jade plaques are intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratch. The diamonds and sapphires are intact and securely set.
