Art Deco 14kt/Platinum Diamond + Carved GIA-Certified Natural Jadeite Jade Earrings
A magnificent pair of natural carved jadeite jade earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold with platinum accents, these stunning earrings display a wonderful floral design. Each earring features a large, elongated jade plaque, which has an ornate hand-carved motif covering both sides, displaying soft scrolls, small flowers, closed blooms and pierced delicate cutouts throughout. The untreated jade has brilliant mottled green and white color with a varying, marbled appearance which darkens towards the bottom. The incredible plaque hangs from a kite-shaped platinum surmount, which is adorned with a sparkling Round Cut diamond at the center. Resting at the top of the surmount is a simple wire, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. Accompanying the earrings is a Gemological Report issued by GIA Laboratories (Gemological Institute of America) in August 2020, which confirms the stone's stated characteristics. These earrings make an incredible statement piece and would look perfect worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long, including the wire at the top. Each jade plaque measures slightly less than 1" wide, and is about 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. The carved jade plaques are intact and free of chips or scratches. The diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
